Can't Explain Myself

Amazing. See the rest of the shoot here.

Polka

I attended the QUT Graduate Fashion Parade last week and was so utterly impressed with so many of the collections I saw. The above looks are my picks of my friend Ana Diaz's collection. The detail in the khaki dress was exquisite and moved so gracefully, I have to have it!

Shoe Wants

Jeffrey Campbell's Lita, in pink fur. I know the pink is quite kitsch but it is exactly what I need in my wardrobe, something bright and fresh. I've got so many pairs of ankle boots but they're mostly black and I think the pink fur would be really fun! I am crazy about this shoe but nervous about ordering online as I've never worn Jeffrey Campbell shoes before and I have quite particular feet. I think I just need to bite the bullet soon and order these though so I can stop thinking about them!

Topshop Premium velvet disco heels - these are a must have for me. I've got many a pair of Topshop platforms and have found that they are a really good fit and shape for me.
I know that I've put two pairs of Lita's on here but this burgundy paisley pair is beautiful! Would be so cool styled with some 70's style denim and cream cotton blouse..

Ruff n Tuff

Susie Bubble looking uber cute in a beautiful Kapowwow neck ruff made from recycled sari material. I love my black jersey Kapowwow neck piece but am excited by the prospects of adding a nice colored ruff like this one to my slowing growing accessories collection.

Berlin Chair

I love this 70's inspired Strummer dress! You can't see in the above picture but the back is gorgeous low cut. Currently available at Violent Green..

Walk Around With You

I love these Jeffrey Campbell flat lace up boots as seen here on Karen from Where did you get that? She styled them with a cool oversized jumper dress but for our Brisbane weather this would be too hot even for a winters day - I would wear these with a little print 60's style mini dress and oversized blazer.

Jackson

I know this editorial has been doing the rounds but I think it is one of the best I've seen all year. Abbey Lee is totally smoking in a role which seems to really suit her personal style and I love the vintage feel of the photography.

Good Vibrations

I'm really excited by both Rumi and Pamela's print chiffon maxi dresses - I have a very similar silk leopard print maxi but the floatiness of the chiffon makes Rumi's that bit more desirable. Also, she is always completely on my wave length with shoes - we have many of the same pairs - but these Topshop ones look so much better on the foot than they do online. I'm seriously considering placing another order soon. As for Pamela Love, the shots of her apartment by Todd Selby are beautiful and inspiring, and I love her paisley print maxi. I wonder if it's vintage?

Enamoured

These Beau Coops E311 are top of my shoe wishlist at the moment - same shape wedge as my Frankly:04 pair which are the most comfortable heels in my wardrobe.

Paradise City

How amazing is this flamingo bag which my friend Justin found at a market in Copenhagen! Thanks for the photo JC x

Posy

I'm getting excited for summer and bought these Zimmermann bikinis the other day. Now I just need to work on my bikini bod and tan..

Safari

Illustrations by Victoria Topping

I've got some really amazing styling projects in the works for the next month or so, one of which I'll share with you today. Maxine Thompson and I share a serious love of all things big cat and leopard print and we happen to also be nearly neighbours. Maxi is a final year fashion student at QUT and I'm going to be helping out styling her lookbook and a creative shoot later in the next couple of weeks. The above illustrations are of some pieces from the collection and as you can see there are some seriously fun pieces to work with - I'm very excited!
