Back in the Game
I was fortunate enough to work with incredible Brisbane based shoe label Tom Gunn recently and picked up a pair of these beautiful wedges. They've been my go to heel ever since and I must say, Shannon Gunn and Gaby Thompson have absolutely perfected the art of functional yet beautiful and interesting footwear. The materials used in all of their collections are of the best quality and the color palettes will leave you anxious in anticipation between season to season. I've got my eye on their striking collaboration with Sydney wunderkind Gary Bigeni, as well as the exciting AW 12 Collection due to drop in stores in February.

Does Your Mother Know
I've had the real privilege of working with some incredible creative talents over the last month - I can't wait to show you all the finished projects! This fiery shot of Brisbane born beauty Nicole Pollard is from a day shooting earlier this month with one of my favorite photographers Thom Kerr. Teamed with the genius hair and makeup skills of Lauren McCowan, this was one of the most enjoyable days in the studio that I've had in a long while.
Nicole is wearing Antipodium with emerging Brisbane designer Alexandra McGuire's high waisted bikini bottoms, Mania Mania Invocation necklace and vintage belt.

Autumn Anticipation
I've got a few exciting projects in the works at the moment with one of my favorite Brisbane labels, Diaz. It's been such a rewarding experience to watch this label grow over the past eighteen months and I couldn't be more proud to have had the privilege to work alongside talented designer Ana Diaz.
A collaboration with Sportsgirl has been on the horizon for the last year, and now we can finally see the results! The collection, 'The Graduates' features both Diaz and Sydney graduate Jessica O'Connor, both contributing a five piece capsule collection which will be launched in stores on the 2nd of March.
I've got my eye on the mustard polka dot knit and black kimono style coat! I'm fortunate enough to own the brown leather circle skirt from the Diaz AW 2011 collection and the mustard knit will be the perfect accompaniment for Autumn.

That Girl I Used to Know
Really feeling the aesthetic of Lover's Autumn Winter 2012 lookbook, particularly this little leather collared dress and the draped velvet jacket. I love the darker color palette and grungy undertones; reminds me of first discovering Fugazi in high school, uniform of inevitably ripped opaque stockings, shorter than allowed black skirt and headphones hidden in an oversized blazer and mass of unkept black hair.
I always love Marni but often don't see their collections fitting into my wardrobe, it's almost as though I see their pieces for myself at a different stage in life, or if I had a different lifestyle. These shoes, however were love at first sight. Perfect accompaniment to my favorite little black velvet dress or even with a crisp white blouse and black leather skirt - my lazy go to outfits which I know always work.

Mansini
Photographer: David Collins
Makeup and Hair: Davina Faye
Styling: Sarah Birchley
A sneak preview of a shoot from late last year. Luke Mansini is a long time friend and creative collaborator, and a very talented visual artist and musician. He has recently launched his solo project, which you can check out here. I always have the best time on shoots with this team and Luke really pushes the boundaries for his vision to be realised in everything he approaches.
Special thanks to Ruby and Prankstar and Boxvintage for your support on this project.
